(cont.) How long will it take? Each patient is different. Some people have had their problem for a long time, and others have only recently begun to experience their pain. Depending on the severity and duration of the conditon and its underlying causes, you may be under care for as little as 2 weeks or as long as 3 months or more. Again, it depends on the nature of the condition, what the x-rays show, what the exam findings were, your overall health and fitness level, and how you respond to care.

Other than Chiropractic, what else do you do? We believe that no one can truly be healthy without good nutrition. We offer patients nutritional analysis allowing us to make specific vitamin, mineral, herbal, diet and nutritional recommendations. Who better to talk to about nutrition than your doctor? We may also recommend supportive products to assist in maintaining proper posture and body mechanics. These may include custom-made orthotics, cervical pillows, neck, mid or low back supports, home rehabilitation units or simple home exercises.

Is Chiropractic Treatment expensive? Most insurance plans cover chiropractic to some degree. However, some insurance plans, such as HMOs, are only designed to cover drugs and surgery. At Action Chiropractic, we have various financial plans that make it very affordable for you to get the care you need. Our office policy is that we never turn anyone away based on their inability to pay. If we feel you are sincere about your health, we will work with your budget so that your condition may be restored to normal without resorting to more expensive, and possibly less effective, drugs and surgery.

Is Chiropractic Treatment just for back pain? Chiropractic treatment is designed to be used for any bone, muscle or joint in the human body. Most chiropractors treat from feet and ankle problems to chest and shoulder problems very effectively. Chiropractors are primarily specialists of the spine. Other joints of the body could be the cause of or related to a spinal problem.

Will I have to keep having Chiropractic treatment forever?
